Just Face It! (All 8 episodes are out!)

This is a bit of a side project of mine. As some of you might know already, the first episode was my entry for the Super Awesome Face Contest. Since then I've made more episodes in this mini-series. There are 8 episodes in total. You can access any of them from New Game option or to play them one right after the other.

Basic Features:

- Each episode is bite-sized and roughly 10-15 minutes long, just as the original was.

- Randomly Generated Faces are the main focus.

- Lighthearted, funny dialogue and story.

- Quirky enemies and offbeat skills.

- Useless accessories.

- Some statistics given at the end of each episode.

- Bob

Story in a nutshell:

A guy called Bob got tired of people making fun of his looks, so he unleashed a magical curse on the whole land that turned everyone's face into a hideous mug. Now a small group of heroes is trying to find a way to lift the curse and get their original faces back. Turns out this task wasn't as simple as they had thought. Being only amateurs, their best and most reliable fighting methods utilise the unconventional elemental masteries of hair, moustache, and teeth. Bite the enemies, tangle them in hair, or simply draw moustaches on them. It's your choice!

The battle pacing was fast and fluid.

In battle events were funny. Used all the skills just to what happened.

Hehe, I am glad the game gave you all plenty of laughs. That's exactly what I was hoping for it to do. I should have Episode 2 done sometime later this week. Since they're pretty short, they don't take too long to make.

Ah, I remember thinking when playing the game that the whole "hair, moustache, fangs" element and how it tied into the skills and the wonders of the random faces was deserving of more than just a weekend-long contest! Now I get to see them more!

Plus I loved the "humour"ous bats. I hope they make an appearance some way or another in episode 2!

Thanks Shian. I am hoping to bring the bats back some way in the future episodes. This is also not the last we've seen of Bob Grublip either. :D

I really enjoyed playing this, and am looking forward to the next episode.

Episode 2 is out!!!

The adventure continues. A new dungeon, a new brand of goofy enemies, one new item to use in battles, and a puzzle. You can access Episode 2 either by going into 'New Game' and selecting it there, or by choosing 'Go to Episode 2' right after finishing Episode 1 (all your items and gold will carry over). I've also made a few small changes to Episode 1, mostly improvements to mapping and such.

EDIT: And it seems tea is bugged. I didn't realise it was only restoring one character, when it's supposed to heal everyone. Whoops. Will have to update that in the next episode. Sorry guys. Just don't buy tea for now. :p

But... I need my tea. I don't drink coffee. Are you trying to turn me into an American??? ;>

Lol. I am a tea lover myself too. I just forgot to set it on 'All Allies', so unfortunately at the moment tea can only be consumed by one person at a time. That's one expensive tea too. More than 3x the price of coffee and more than twice the price of beer.

The price of tea sounds like it came from my part of the world.

Hehe, that's pretty much my number 1 goal with this project - to brighten up people's day with some silly jokes and faces.

I didn't quite understand what you meant about Bob getting stronger. As for those 4 temperaments, they are going to be recurring characters in many manifestations. :D

Oops, I mean 'change the bat's bodies (to spiders)'.

Ah yeah. I figured it'd be more fun to have these 4 personalities manifest themselves into different entities in each episode. :)

I think I died at the screenshots but ill give it a try :D

Episode 3 is out!!!

Our favourite trio goes to explore some ancient ruins in this one. As usual, many surprises await:

- New enemies

- New puzzles

- Each team member learns 1 new skill during the episode

- 1 new state has been added (Nauseated), and 2 new items that are related to this state - one adds it (Rotten Egg) and one cures it (Peppermint Oil)

Access Episode 3 either by going into New Game and picking it there, or by completing Episode 2.
