  1. Due to time constraints and my own mad ambition I came to realise that Blue Lab just wasn't going to fit into an hour, and that it was unlikely to be anywhere near completion by the end of the month. So I took what I had and turned the prologue of the Blue Lab into it's own mini game.





    Play as Jean Valentino, an army Leuitenant due for early retirement, who is asked to complete one final Stealth Mission before leaving the service. Rescue kidnapped Dr. Cidney Sheppard from the A.A.G Terrorist Group.




    An army Leuitenant due for early retirement from the service. Jean was called in to do one last Stealth Mission due to there being no one else available at the time. An expert in both Stealth and Weapons Tatics.


    A scientist working with the military on an Energy and Weapons contract. Kidnapped by the A.A.G, a terrorist militia group seeking to use Dr Sheppards knowledge of Energy Manipulation and Weapons designs to further theor own goals.

  3. This could work. Good presentation but I would say try some more advanced parallax techinques for the helicopter ride unless you change it to a plane.

    Waiting to see more.
  4. Dude!  I would LOVE to play this!  I like the idea, it's very...  Well, it reminds me of a cross between Taken (Liam Neeson) and the old Sega game Rambo III (one of my favorite games for Sega).

    Also, VERY nice Graphics-I've always loved Celianna and Lunarea's work.  Not very familiar with the others, but from the looks of it, they're right "ace" artists as well!  (hehe...  I know, I know, not very "punny!")

    I don't paralax... And it works ok in game, what with the moving background and the helicopter BGS. It's only used for the opening cutscene anyway. So I'm not overly worried.

    Yes Lunarea and Celianna and their marvellous tiles were a godsend for this ( and one of my reasons for making this game)

  7. Looking good, I like that you're using the engine in a creative way with the stealth system, that should definitely make the game stand out. All this talk about governments, scientists and terrorist militias gives me a bit of a Deus Ex vibe, especially with the hacking and stealth so you have my interest there! :)

    Regarding the gender issue, I think it would definitely be a plus to have a choice if there's no reason not to and it's not difficult to implement.

    Thanks for your comment. I've never played that game but I think my brother played it once while I was in the room...

    As to the gender thing. It wouldn't be hard to implement, but it definitely makes writing the description a challenge. Lol.

  11. I'm very nearly finished the entire first section of the game. Just databasing to go.

    As it took me over a week to get this far, I'm wondering if maybe it might be a good idea to just cap my Indie game at the end of the Jungle Rescue Mission? That way I can be guarenteed to have it finished. I also have a feeling that what I have planned may go on for well over an hour, this section alone takes about 10-15 miniutes to complete by itself and is supposed to be the shortest section.

    Obviously I'll still be working on the remainder of the game (there are three parts to it after all) for the duration of the month, and will keep everyone updated as to my progress. And if I do finish what I had planned I can always just submit it instead I guess.

    Thoughts anyone?
  12. For some reason my Update asking for testers for my game was locked... I'm not sure what I did wrong, I only posted there because other people had before. (At least I'm sure I've seen people post like that before...)

    But anyway!

    Hopefully people are still checking this topic, because I'll be about due to test my stealth/battle system on Friday, so anyone with as out 20mins free over the weekend who'd be willing to test it for me?

    It would only be the first level, but it should give me the bones to go on for the rest of that game.

  13. hey all. Just an update.

    I've had to downsize Blue Lab. Which means, unfortunately that some of the awesome Hacking features needed to be taken out. But the good news is that the game is likely to be completed by the end of the month, which is the main thing!

    So everyone welcome to the new game Jungle Rescue, the Prequel to the Blue Lab game!

  15. I personally think you should first iron out any kinks and then go on creating content that might extend longer than an hour if time permits. After all, the judges might want to play longer ;)

  17. Tiny Update.

    Nearly finished, just a few more graphical things, set up a few more guards and soldiers, finish my mapping off, set up my supply boxes and finish adding the dialogue and I wil be done!

    Yyou heard me! DONE!

    So... Friday... hopefully... Saturday at the latest... you know... Sunday? Definately before Monday!

    I was hoping to have a demo out, but decided it would be better to just finish the game. Ii think maybe that paid off. We'll have to see.
