"Jump" Attack Support in RMVXA?

  1. All right, guys.

    What I'm trying to do is make a 'Jump' skill, like the one from the Final Fantasy series.

    I've got it *almost* right, due to other threads, but I have one problem.

    How do I make the skill common event wait turns while the battle is still going on?

    (If you're confused, let me explain: Let's say character X wants to use jump. So he uses it, and flies up in the air.

    However, if I press wait, it freezes the battle. If I don't do wait, it attacks instantly. So how to I make it wait

    without freezing the battle?)

    Sorry if I worded this wrong. I really need some help!
  2. Not sure. I use a jump attack in my game for the Dragon Knight chick lady but I set it up with a cool down. Instead of jumping a waiting a turn, she uses it immediately and can't use it for 2 rounds. Served the same purpose. Have you tried doing a search on the forums to see if someone has a solution such as a script?

    Yes, I have tried a search. That's where I got most of the event right, but it didn't describe exact commands.

    There is a script, but it's not gonna work for me.
