Is there any way to open a project by double-clicking it when you use Steam?

    I bought RPG Maker VX Ace using Steam, but the stink thing about it is that, when you double-click a project in Explorer, it doesn't open that project... it opens the project you last were working on. Which is extremely inconvenient. Is there any way to make it so that it opens the project you double-clicked on?


    I know it does that using the regular boxed RPG Maker VX Ace version. If so, then is there a way to transfer your RPG Maker VX Ace license from Steam to the regular version? Because I consider this, as well as not having to open Steam up everytime I want to use RPG Maker VX Ace, very good reasons to do so.

    No, unfortunately the steam method of opeining programs does not allow for file-links to be passed for opening.

    Dreadshadow pointed out to me that it is easier to navigate to your various projects if you put them all in the default location for Steam Ace projects.

    So I will copy the message he posted to me, since it was his advice. =]

    "Actually you can go to MY Documents/RPGVXACE/
    This is the path to the projects folder by default, for Steam version.
    You can then copy-paste any project folder in there.
    The result will be to your advantage - trust me on that.

    This is the issue. I think Steam version saves the last accessed folder.

    So if the last project folder you accessed was
    being stored in  My Documents/RPGVXACE/
    then you can change folder by pressing the parent folder button.

    I think what he means is that once you have Ace open, you can see the folders in the "open project" outline view. And select other folders there. But he isn't recommending to use other folders, but all the same one.
    If you saved all your projects into their respective folder,
    inside My Documents/RPGVXACE/
    then you will have all projects available with just one click! ;)

    For Example:
    My Documents/RPGVXACE/Project1/
    My Documents/RPGVXACE/Project2/
    My Documents/RPGVXACE/Project3/

    If you are inside Project 3 folder, parent directory will show you all three, By default use default one.
    It is what I do.
