Is there a way to make shops only buy?

  1. I'm looking to make a shop which will only buy certain items, while also not selling them. Is there a good way to do this?

    For instance, if I was to find an item called "magic talking bricks", could I make a shop which will only buy said magic talking bricks? (And do no other functions, such as buying other items, or selling any items)

    I know I could do it with conditional branch dialogues, but I'm going to have a lot of -if I may use my above example- different named talking bricks, and its not super practical.

  2. Go to shop processing and put in the magic talking bricks that you want to be purchased. there is a checkbox you can click that says purchase only. Once you click that checkbox, test it out and boom! it will have buy normally and Sell will be slightly faded. And you can't sell items! There you go. :3

    Does this apply to XP as well? I know VX and Ace have it.
  4. Unfortunately, no. With XP it defaults to buy AND sell, unless you alter the behaviour with a script.

    OP wants the player to only sell their items to the shop. Not to have a buy-only shop. But a sell-only shop.
