I am curious what people who played Divinity: Original Sin think of the game and if it is worth purchasing.
I hear it is great, but was wondering what all of you think.
Is Divinity: Original Sin worth a buy?

Absolutely no idea... Never even heard of it before to be honest. I am however a big fan of the Divinity series in general. I own a copy of "Divine Divinity", "Divinity II: The Directors Cut", and "Beyond Divinity".

@Cadh - It looks really good and has REALLY good reviews if interested

Yes it is. The game does sort of decline once you leave the opening area (which is easily the most polished and solid of them all) though, but that might've just been me getting burned out from it.

I feel it is worth buying if you like RPGs with loads of skill customization and turn based combat. (it's not real time like the other Divinity games).
It depends on what elements interests you in a game, I guess.
It's a bit slow but playable on my middle specs laptop.
It will require at least a gtx 650 and 4gb of ram to play at a reasonable frame rate.
A level editor comes with game so you can mess around with the main module or create your own from scratch, but it would take a lot of effort.
If you're not too sure, you could always grab it during a sale. Christmas isn't too far off. -
YESSS absolutely. it's best played with a close buddy though, it'll make the experience much more fun. It's one of those games that's built for coop.
The game is very text heavy like oldschool western RPGs, such as Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale, etc. If you're into turn based strategy combat, get it. Chaining spells together to create different effects was amazing. Although I kept friendly firing on my bud and he kept getting stunned by my lightning or ended up dying to my giant aoe explosions.. but those moments were all hilarious :D
The game has some problems though. Like gear; gear at first feels great, but later it's just all the same stuff, with slightly different stats. Most of it we just vendored, hardly would we find an upgrade. Gold was in huge abundance with not much to spend it on, though it could of just been we were really good at making money, or stealing things :p
Overall I had a very good experience. Spent 99 hours on it.
