It seems rude to start posting elsewhere without having some sort of introduction, so I thought I would make one. I'm just a beginner to RPG Maker as a whole, but I'm learning general software programming as a university student. Creating things, particularly stories and games, has always been a passion of mine. But even though I like creating, I rarely if ever finish things that I begin... Maybe having a community to turn to, like these forums, will help me actually finish a creative endeavor. My first project will be a pretty standard fantasy RPG, using a side battler script; some of the friends whom I polled said that side view battles are much more fun even when the graphics are simple.

Welcome to the forums. I wish you all of the best for your endeavors. I got into these forums after taking part in the Indie Game Maker Contest that forced me t make a game in a month's time. It was the first ever game I've made even though I've attempted numerous other projects. The point I want to make is that setting strict deadlines is paramount to getting something done. I'm looking forward to seeing what project you're working on. Also know that the people here are very helpful.
