  1. I can't find any answers to what I'm asking in other threads. If it's there, I probably missed it.

    Anyway....

I want to make an Intro Cinematic.Video Tutorials on Youtube or whatever haven't helped me with this specific purpose.

It's probably hard to describe, but I'll try.

Anyway.... I want to make an intro scene where, after the "So and So Presents this game" and whatever, it goes from black, to a scene with a character moving horizontal along a looping map. I know how to make things loop, I just don't know how to make it so that as soon as the Intro tells you who made the game and stuff, it automatically goes to a cutscene with this solo character moving along a road while text is going on.

Anyone understand what I'm trying to say? e.e
  2. Put the character that is running on the road on one map. Set all the events that have to happen on that map as one event, set to autorun (make sure to turn off the event or leave the map when done, or else you will loop!). Then, from your intro scene, transfer the player to that map you just set up. It should work from there, as the autorun event will take over once you are on that map.

And, if the player character is not supposed to be visible, set the player to transparent on first before the map transfer.
  3. Yes, but the way you are describing it sounds like you'd have your work cut out for you. However, I may be over thinking what you're saying and one of the easiest ways I can think to accomplish what you're saying though is this...

You can add transparent text boxes that are set to /^ automatically display and disappear after X amount of time, setting that to a separate parallel process. Then just write an event of the character walking along the road. If you want it to look cool in the background I'd suggest you put in a parallax back, this is pretty basic as well. Here is a quick video on how this can be accomplished.

If you're looking for a video however with special fade ins and effects/texts appearing, etc. You'll either need to go crazy with show picture/parallax eventing or make an actual video clip in something like Vegas or some other video editing software then export it to .ogv in the right dimensions and import it into RM.

Hope this helps, I had to do a little intro, though it's basically temporary. You can see it in our demo.
