Ingame tutorial for the menu

Hello all!

I am looking to create an ingame tutorial where a party member explains to another party member how the menu works regarding skills, equipment and so forth. In other words I would like to automatically open the menu and enter some inputs, along with some text from the party member explaining it.

After some investigation I have not found a way to do this, the only way I can think of is to record the screen ingame and play a movie.

Does anybody have any suggestion of how this could be done? I would be most grateful!
