Asteria tileset still can be saved if the creator willing to redraw and repaint the sued parts to make it more original and differs.


let's hope he make the efforts considering refund is not possible.

but he cannot be around RMW forums anymore since at this point since it a permaban and bypassing a ban is not allowed, he did this twice.

Do you have a link to the lighting plugin you are using?
I will take a look and see if I can recommend any alternatives.

No, it can't be saved - because you couldn't trust him to tell the truth when he claimed what is completely his own work. After all, he has lied about that before, why would we believe him now?


And in the list where he claimed what parts were his and which parts were stolen (not made visible here) there was at minimum one mistake, a part that one of the art moderators recognised from somewhere else despite him claiming it as 100% his work in the correction.


And at this point it doesn't matter if that was a misremembering on Kaus part or a try to get away with more lies - because if he cannot remember what he used where himself, then nothing can be trusted from any reworked part of the tileset.

To the affected trying to salvage his work: not worth it. He caused trouble long ago and hes doing it again. The best you can do is wash your hands of it and try to get a refund.


Try to teplace the tiles if you can, edit something similar, or remap. Dont trust someone willing to steal your money or lie just to resist doing the rework. Ultimately youll just feel bitter and people will notice the sets and call you out on using them. 


I know it sucks but dont get stuck trying to defend someone like that. Hes caused bullcrap before and clearly has not learnt, just walk away and fix what you can.

And he didn't leave it out - he marked it specifically as "this part is my work". It was a probably complete list of "this I google-searched, this is my work".

Yeah, you can find more of my works over at RPGmakermv.co. I usually post them there first then here when I get time. But yeah, if you would like something to be more updated I can do that lol, there were many earlier works that uh...didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped lol. I don't have the originals for those but I know how to remake them to look better now too, so long as I know what tilesets you're in need of xP


Oh, for those asking if they can still use some parts of what he "claimed" as his own. He does actually have a few modified parts from the Sci-fi defaults (fishing nets and a couple others). I would assume those would be okay to use, but idk if they would be "liked" for being used in a project because of where they come from. I can look through them in more depth and see if I can find others that were altered from "free to alter" resources and make sure that these can get the proper credits they deserve if actually used. But yeah, until more info is on it I would suggest against using them at all.

Right one is by me (was released in the winter event), left one a screen with his (one of his official screens). Since I drew pillow and the matress part below from scratch there is no chance that he accidentially got something that is acidentially that close (some parts of his matress have the same pixel structure). The wooden part on the top of the bed was "just" and edit but he came surprsingly close with his, huh?

yes, the pillow indeed same, even he resize it, he needs more efforts to make it different..

Is that so? Right before his scam was uncovered, he sent a mail that his PayPal account was blocked and that this was the reason some payments were returned. It would be quite important to see if he at least has the intention of setting things right.




If there is any legal action, the tileset piracy is probably at the end of the line. First will be the people who paid and got scammed. That's a simple fraud case with a very clear legal situation, while anything about the tileset piracy would rely on international copyright conventions, which might be a little tricky with the Philippines. I'm going to check this out if I find some time.

See, that's exactly it. Kaus posted a 'complete list of work that was stolen and work that was mine' and I didn't believe it one bit. He never mentioned stealing Avery's work for example. This is a case of trickle truth; admit a little bit at a time, but not everything. He probably doesn't even know what he stole anymore.


Basically, we can't trust his word at all.
