This tutorial was created as one image, so you can simply save it and zoom in whenever you need it.

It is that narrow so you can read it in 400% zoom without any issues.

If you have any questions, ask ;>

I'd love to see what you create referring to this!

Those icons are meant to fit the VX/Ace-RTP.

My icons can be found here.
  2. What if I want to make an animated icon, like the gem example you gave us?  How could I create luster or a reflective surface to cover a shiny item outside of a dab of white highlight?
  3. Avery, thank you for the tutorial! i can't wait to do a pixel art exercise. I use GIMP.

Silly question, are the outlines of the icons always black in colour? For instance, the outline of RTP icons and Ying's icons, for instance, look very different.
  4. The RTP icons don't have black lines per se but it has brownish black.

That's very helpful. I'll just use Colour Picker on that outline then. Thanks, Archeia!
  6. This is extremely useful. My own potion bottles have not been a great success, and looking at this has helped me see what I've been doing wrong.

    Thanks.
  7. Thank you all^//^

    I almost forgot this:

Palladinthug, an animated icon is quite easy. You just need to move the place of your reflection on the icon:

Ah, and I am using graphicsgale for my pixel art.
