  1. Hello,

Here's my problem. A while ago, I bought RPGMaker VX Ace but the thing is, I had to change my computer. Stupid me didn't keep the mail with my Product Key in it and now of course, I can't activate RPGMaker without it on the new computer.

That's why I would like to know if it's possible to have a new one ? I tried to go on the Technical Support but I need my Product Key in one of the field, without it, I can't submit my problem.

    Thanks in advance >.<
  2. Not be rude or mean but you shouldn't ask for a product key.  It's a against the rules.  If you lost it you should buy the disc version of RPG Maker VX Ace instead of the digital download that way you'll always have your product key.  You can buy the disc version form Amazon for a reasonable price.

If you trully brought it you should be able to ask support about it. They will most litely have some kind of records about it. It'd be matter of you proving your identity.

  4. Did you try submitting it without the product key entered or did you just assume you can't submit it without the key? (Truly just asking, I've never submitted a request so I don't know.)

Someone will help you. I believe they can look it up for you as long as you can provide the same email address as when you purchased it.

What have we learned today class?

For future reference you should save your email, and also make a back up of it, I still know exactly where all 4 of my VXA receipts are.

Fill out as many fields as possible in your support ticket, and explain in the info field that you lost your key. If it won't let you proceed without filling something out in the product key area, use zeroes.

Support will be able to assist you with getting your key information back. :)
  7. Hey people, first, thanks for your answers :)

Since I did bought the online version, I really would not want to have to buy a disc version right now, still I'm sorry if my request sound a bit a if I wanted to do something illegal, which is absolutly not the case.

I tried to submit it without the key, but never thought of putting zeroes. Thanks a lot for the idea Lunarea, I'll go try this right now :D

Thanks again for your answers, it means a lot.

On a final note, sorry if I made mistakes, english is not my main language ><

I would follow Lunarea's solution posted earlier in this thread, which was to fill out a ticket for the Technical Support Team. You can do that here: Technical Support Trouble Ticket Form

If for some reason you cannot get your key back, the current humble bundle gives you VXA for paying over the average and 90% off coupons for 2k, 2k3, and XP for any contribution.
  11. If it can help, I indeed follow Lunarea's advice and it worked perfectly fine. They answered pretty fast and send me my key back. Don't forget to explain your issu the best you can and it should be alright.
  12. That holds true, even if you bought RPGMaker XP prior to Degica taking over the sales.  I purchased my copy when Protexis ran the show.  And when I had my crash, I eMailed Degica who had copies of my purchase record.  They're quite good at customer support.

Glad to hear this was solved for you. I'm going to go ahead and close this thread now. :)
