I GET A ERROR IN SAS4 WHEN I USE MAGIC, HELP

    So when everi use magic i get a error (sapphire action system4 )



    HERE is the script(ONLY THE PART THAT THIS ERROR HAPPENDS IN, IT IS A 5 PEICE SCRIPT THO)

    Also, please link to the origin of the scripts, do not copy them here (in part or complete), because a lot of scripter don't like that and it makes bughunting difficult.


    Another question: Did you start a new game after installing the scripts?


    Any "NIL"-Error usually means that you are missing something, either because it was not initialised (which only happens on new game, not on loading old saves) or because you didn't include all scripts neccessary for a more complex script system, or because you failed to follow the script's direction for configuring it...


    If it only happens if you use magic, then check the notetags for your magic skills if everything was set like the script demands

    Oh no I didn't but how do I get all the scripts in a new game ihave alot and the magic, is fine I may try restart new game but how I add all the scripts to new game

    Where did you get your RPG Maker from?


    He means choose New Game from the menu. Don't load a save file after you've added a script.

    Well I fixed the japanise part, and I started new project( kinda confused is new game new project) but copied the script file to new one

    I never asked you to start a new project - after you added the scripts to your existing project, you need to start a new game inside that project for the scripts to work properly.
    However, looking at your screenshots it might be the case that you tried to work from the demo Khas provided - that will never word, that demo (which was done with the japanese engine) is only for you to look at, it is not for you to make your game from it.


    To clarify:


    "New Project" is done in the editor when you want to work on a new game.


    "New Game" is done within the game, for example while playtesting or while playing

    Oh ok, cause It was one of khas is things but I did start new game when I test but I think a new projects with the scripts file copied is better

    Please start giving information about the problem you have.


    For example, we need a screenshot of the magic skill you're trying to use - did you set up the skill as needed for the SAS scripts?

    Why is the note area empty?


    Khas's instructions require you to put additional data in there, or didn't you read the PDF with his instructions included in his download?


    You CANNOT use an ABS script "as is", those scripts require tons of additional data you HAVE to put into your database.


    Please read the PDF's instruction on how to set skills for use with SAS, and then check again after you followed those instructions.
