I have two maps, one has darker grass then when you transfer to the next the grass is lighter (this was done to allow me to use a specific type of cliff face). Now I parallax all my maps in Photoshop, these are two different grass types that would look odd if you went from one map using Celiannas to Hanzos grass. So, should I have a map i between or is there something I can do in RPG Maker when making the base map to ease the transition between this dark grass and the lighter grass?
How would you handle this?

You can do a transition between the grass manually with some recolored selections on the B-E tiles and lay them on events below the player or simply place them over the auto tiles with with a Circle pass ability. Depending on how big the grassy area is, this can fill up a portion of the tile set and need to be separated from the regular "Exterior" default. What (specific selection) tiles are you using? Are you willing to edit and upload a custom tile set?
You can use Photoshop to lay another layer over the paralaxed map and simply erase with a 10% eraser to ease the transition if you want to do it entirely paralax. -
you legit leave one map and one grass tile to enter into another map with a different grass tile. So there is no real transition. I dont feel i have the skills to edit tiles and I have tried the eraser idea, but it looks bad. These are two very distinct grass sets.
both fill up the perspective maps. -
Tint the screen.

How is that a viable solution? (curious) one is much lighter then the other. I don't think tinting will work. I could redo all the grass ...........Which would be a pain. I may have to do that.

Tint both scenes so that they are not quite as recognizable as their original colours. For instance, make both scenes slightly darker than their original, but the lighter grass scene could be about 5 'units' darker than the darker grass. By tinting both, you are making the transition between grass slightly less 'obvious' to those who may have seen the tilesets many times, as well as those who have not seen the tilesets. How is that a viable solution? I think what I am gonna do is just change the grass color every where. It makes more sense to do that. Thanks though :D
