How to turn off Random Encounters?

How do I turn off Random Encounters? Is there a script because I cant seem to find it :(

By default there are no random encounters, you have to set them up in regions before you can get into a random encounter(unless you want the entire map to have the same possible encounters).

In map properties, just don't list any troops, and you'll never get into a random encounter.

Alternatively, if you want to turn them off because you have, for example, evented battles, then at the beginning of your game, select 'Change Encounter' from the third tab of the Event command Menu, and then choose 'Disable'.  If you want to reactivate them later, choose the same command, but then 'Enable'.
