This board has been so helpful in helping me make some of my games that I decided to give back by making a little something.
It's a tactical movement template (essentially allowing you to break your party up into many groups on a single map). It's not a script though, it's an actual project (nothing fancy).
It keeps up with your party's location on the map.
It keeps up with which actor is in which formation slot at any given time (and can count up to 50 actors and 50 slots)
It can break your party up into 10 groups of 5 at any time
It has a Primitive AI and can sustain up to 5 enemies on screen at a time
If I can figure out how to share it, it will be free for commercial or personal use as long as I get credit. Dekita needs to get credit for providing me with a working primitive AI and Shaz needs some credit too for helping me get all the in game scripting right.
I've put nearly a month's worth of work into it and it's more or less ready to put out (it's been designed so that the only scripting is mine and is handled by the in-game script function (it deals mostly with variables) and all the switches and variables for this start at 1000 so it should be compatible with most scripts). The only problem is that I have no idea how to actually share this project with anyone.
I've seen people with channels but that's beyond what I know how to do. Any ideas? I'm not able to attach the file to a post so I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to share it.
How to share a project template

I'm moving this to General Discussion since this is asking for help with something that doesn't directly involve any of the makers. When you make a post to share the project it doesn't belong in the resource section either since coding and events don't count as resources. It would probably work best in the tutorials section.

You can attach the file to drop box, Google drive, media-fire, or another sharing service. The un-encrypted exe will be able to shared via a link that you can post.I've seen people with channels but that's beyond what I know how to do. Any ideas? The services are free up to a certain capacity, and it will allow you to share your template with others. -
just zip it up or compress it to its EXE without rtp or with and send it into media fire or somthing of the sort
