How to implement a "Mix" skill?

Hello all, and sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place.

I'm looking to implement a very basic 'mix' skill, similar to Rikku's from FFX.

Ideally, the 'Mix' skill would open the items menu and allow the character to combine one of 6 items with a grenade to make an elemental grenade. How would I get that started? Any plugins that I need?

This is indeed in the wrong place, but you never state which maker you're using. Your post makes me believe it's MV, but your profile states VXAce. Could you please tell us which it is, so we can move it to the correct forum?

@punchybot You are suggesting a plugin for MV (Javascript) for a Member whose info says they are using VX Ace (Ruby). Won't work.

@Ym7884nr 'General Discussion' is for looking at broad themes of game making. "How do I...?" (implementation) questions go in the Support forum for the engine you are using. Please note, that Ace does not use plugins (as per your request) but scripts. Calling things by the wrong name can lead to incorrect advice about what you need.

I was about to move this to RGSS3 Script Requests but, like Slimmmeiske2, wonder if Ace is what you are using.

You also might like to edit your opening post to give a bit more detail. Despite it's popularity, there are millions of people who have never played FFX and so will have no idea what you mean by the 'mix' skill from there. However, many of them could have the information you need, but under another name. It is always best to describe what you are wanting, rather than rely on "like game X".

I apologize for posting in the wrong place. Am using MV, started with Ace few months back. will update my profile to reflect that.
