  1. Sorry for the delay, but I have a new tutorial up and running on tips to creating RPG dungeon music ^_^!
  2. That tutorial is very detailed and will help a lot. :)

I think the music you writen there sounds way better then the one from RTP.
For me it sounded pretty professional. :) (\s/)
  3. Wonderful tutorial Schematist!  A joy to watch!

I compose by ear as well, but I hardly start with the melody.  I always start with the progression.  Like you said, there is no correct way to compose music!  Great advice, and beginners with a decent knowledge of music are sure to find it helpful.

Thank you so much for your kind words Cheeky Moon. I really love creating game music so hopefully I can share what I learned to help boost the morale of the community!

Beautifully said Brogrammer!  There is no right or wrong way! Always do what feels the most comfortable for you and never forget to have fun with it. Thanks for the feedback!
  6. Can they hire you to compose the next RTP? :)

Great job with this. I'm intimidated by composing, having almost no experience, but I've been curious about it for awhile and figured I'll need to start somewhere. Even if I can't be as professional as others here (yourself included), having something a bit more custom can help make a project unique.

Truly appreciate your kindness Amerk! :) I really love doing this, so I am always glad to help. Don't be intimidated though. There is certainly a learning curve, but it gets much easier as you go along.
