  1. Time is ticking and sometimes we're busy for work, school, sleep, anything we wanna do but sometimes for developers or game-makers also have time to create, modify, maintenance, inspect and finish the game within the dateline.

I have a job but not as a game developer. Game-making is my hobby, so I create my project especially at night because I work until night. While creating the project, I feel sleepy.....but yeah, rest is important............I donno, I love my job but sometimes I love my hobby, but I have to stay in touch with my family at home.

    What about you?
  2. Well I'm a not-so-much social person, so usually after work I stay at home, which gives me time to take care of my game/softwares for 2-3 hours a day. On week-ends or vacations I have much more time of course.
  3. In my case the time I use for game making is very irregular.
Some weeks I do not find the time to work in my game. It's a hobby for me and my job, family and social live come first.
But sometimes I make progress in some aspect of the game then I become addicted to it and sleeping less hours than I should I make more game job in a few days than I had done in the previous months.
Then usually something happens in life and I return to my very slow working pace.
I really envy people who can focus and have a regular schedule.

  4. I don't have a deadline for my game, instead, I have monthly goals. Finish Town C, balance out skills, map this cave or forest, etc.
I expect to still be working on my game in about a year, because yes, life does get in the way.
I work 55 hours a week, and I want to other things besides play RPG Maker, but setting monthly goals really helps maintain motivation.
  5. I just play it by air based on what I got done the day before. I work on more of an ASAP basis I think. Example, I just made a forest map, so now i'm pushing myself to make my village map.
  6. To be pretty blunt; I don't. :(

When I first picked up Ace, I was so into it. I'd always make time to learn how to use it and then implement it into my own project. After things started to get more tedious, i.e creating a database from scratch, balancing battle formula, etc, I started to hold off and hold off until I forgot all about my project. Remember, give up, forget, repeat.

Maybe this time I'll get my act together! Hahaha
  7. Poorly.
  8. I'm disabled, so i have plenty of time on my hands ?
  9. I set aside six hours every weekend (three on saturday, three on sunday) to work on my game(s) and I do it no matter how I feel or how much get actually done.
  10. Before I was placed on the 'Injured Reserved List', I always made a point to work on something at least an hour a day for no less than four days a week. I would say even a half-hour is better than nothing. To keep sharp at any kind of skill, I find this to be a great rule-of-thumb. But it can be difficult to schedule this. The best workaround I found was to sacrifice some sleep, but that's me - I've always had a bit of insomnia so doing this is rather easy for me. Try and find the best way for yourself! (like cut out some TV time, or the like!)
  11. Maybe a few hours a day, often forums leads me back to my game as ill see a plugin ive never seen or a resource that is available and at that moment I take off to go work it into the game :).

Seeing a really nice instructional video from SRD or YF gets me stoked to go work as well :D
