I'm not sure how you could do it on DeviantArt, but you could always upload it to DropBox and share the link.

Okay ill try, thanks :)

I usually just drag the folder into the browser window of dropbox and it uploads it from there.
And as you're new, just to keep the mods from getting angry, you shouldn't double post. ;)
And I shouldn't backseat moderate either o_O
I was only trying to help, O great and powerful Mods. Please don't strike me down!!!! -

How did you make that demo?and i put it on and tried to download it myself to see if it works but it couldn't run, it just didnt open.
Depending on the steps you've taken, this could be everything from uploading the wrong file to forgetting to include RTP or simply download/internet errors. -
Im sure i have the right file, it did download but i just couldn't run it. I believe that it is a problem with my computer so will try to get a friend to see if it works on their computer. How did you make that demo?

Okay. You know how you'll have the dragon icon, or sometimes what looks like a little message window, and the gear icon. The gear icon is the data for your game where people can go in and see how you set the game up and see the bare bones of it. The other icon is your executable icon. This allows you to actually play the game outside of playtesting.

@Alice Akemi:
We had hundreds of people who did it wrong but assumed they were doing it correctly.
Most of them had answers like the one given by magna above, because that is the wrong answer.
To distribute your demo/game, you need the file with the icon that looks like a blue glass/ice cube, and that file does not exist by default, it needs to be created... -
Huh. That's just how we've been playing our Digimon World Ace game as we were making it. I assumed that was how you released it. : /

I wouldn't recommend dropbox. They have download limits, and if your game is downloaded too many times, they'll lock up your account.
Find a REAL file-sharing site and load it up there.
To get something to load up, go to File and choose Compress Game. You can either check the Include RTP box (which will give you a bigger file, but players won't have to download anything else), or uncheck the box (which will give you a smaller file, but players will need to be directed to the RTP which they'll have to download and install themselves). Then tell it where you want to compress the game to.
Once that's done, you'll have a new .exe file with the name you selected. THAT is what you need to load up (this is NOT the Game.exe file - it is an auto-installer). Be aware though, many browsers will detect the .exe suffix and stop there, because exes could contain viruses. They MAY ask the user if they want to download it anyway, but your players may not be tech-savvy enough to understand that.
A way around it is to run that exe yourself and extract the game into a completely new folder (far away from your project folder), then zip up that new folder and load THAT up instead. -
Yes, unless you have a paid Dropbox account, do not use a free Dropbox account unless you plan on just sharing with a few people. The free Dropbox account has a VERY strict limit and they will freeze your account if you go over it.
I would suggest using a torrent (only if you know how they work) or use MEGA.

A free MEGA account has a monthly use limit to, but it's a pretty high limit and I have yet to go over it myself.
