  1. Product: RPG Maker VX Ace

    DLC: Oldschool Modern 1&2

    Whenever I try to lay down the fence, the background vanishes.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I made the background transparent, so that they would show the floor, but I guess I didn't do it right? ;_;
  2. Did you move the fence from its original position in the A2 tileset? They belong in the last two columns on the right, otherwise they will overwrite the other A2 tiles.
  3. I've moved this thread to VX Ace Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

    You have probably just set your tileset up wrong. The fence should be in the A2 slot. Every one of those slots in the A group has a very specific purpose and format. Putting the wrong image into the wrong slot will have unwanted consequences, as you've discovered.
  4. I have not moved it. I simply downloaded the oldschool modern dlc from steam and then uploaded them to my RPGmaker VX Ace content.  I put them in the A2 slot.  There was a white background for it, so I made the white transparent, is that wrong?

  5. The background should have been transparent from the start. And for some reason, you have two extra tiles in A2 compared to tiles I have.

    I do not believe that you are allowed to upload an image of a purchased pack, so I have to ask you to check the position of the A2 autotiles in the Modern pack, against the A2 autotiles in the RTP.
  6. Try changing the Mode in the tileset from VX Compatible to Area Type. Does it make a difference?

    Were there instructions with the pack that said to change the mode in the first place?
  7. That seems to work, Shaz.

    And for the record, my copy does not come with any instructions to change the mode. Don't know about NEO Ness, though.
  8. It did not give instructions to change the mode.  I must have accidentally changed it without noticing (I tend to press buttons I shouldn't...)

    Thank you for all your help! :D
  9. Yeah, I normally don't change the mode on mine, but I know it can cause some weird issues. I just happened to notice that it wasn't set to the default in your screenshot and wondered if it might be the cause :)
  10. Normally, nothing you do in the program will cause your PC to explode. So go ahead and press any button you want. It is one of the ways to learn using the program. Just make sure it's not your main project that you are experimenting with...
