On a more serious note. A couple of generic soldier-type enemy battlers would be nice. Like an armored (covered) lance user. No real defining features. Yes, I know as an artist that really boring. Yes, it certainly takes some of the excitement out of it. But you can have fun with it in other ways. As you said earlier, you have to put a lot of work into researching the type of character your creating the sprite for. Most of the character of a "generic-type" enemy can be conveyed just through how he holds his weapon and swings his sword. The covering of the face and hair color gives the enemy a little bit more universal utilitarian value to it. Considering a lot of people are coming to you for their animated battlers now, that is definitely not a bad thing.
