Hit % Calculation Confusion

  1. Hello,

    I am having diffuculty understanding the "Hit Calculations" or formula in VX Ace.

    My Character's EX-Param"Hit" is set to 95% and I noticed that my entire party would miss (not evade) almost every single attack.

    I Searched the forums and googled like crazy and all I could find was "Change the EX-Param"Hit", but mine was already at 95%. I read the VXAce Help Contents and it only says that Hit and evasion are calculated independently, which is fine, but how is Hit calculated in the first place? Is it just RND 1-100 and check to see if its <= EX-Param"Hit"?

    I created a test character ad a Test Monster, both had EX-Param"Hit" set to 95%, and EX-Param"Eva" set to 5% and all stats set to 10.

    When battle testing over 100 attacks the eveasion was correct at around 5% for both the character and monster, however the Hit was 57% for the character and 62% for the monster.

    I performed the test again, making the character have 1 agility instead of 10, and then again with 1 Luck instead of 10, and there was no large change from the previous so this shows Luck and Agility have no effect on Hit rate.

    If a character/monster has a 95% Hit chance, what oppposing parameter is minusing this to create the around 60% hit chance i've been getting in my tests?

    Thanks for the fast reply, Also i went through the scripts and found the Hit forumla, I was very dumb as it was being altered by an outside script which came to a 63.33% hit chance... falling in line with my tests lol.
