Hello, everyone. My name is Miri. I've just recently purchased RPG Maker MV and am really excited about it. However, I haven't a clue as to what I'm doing...lol. Working on character sheets and a story line, right now. When I get all of that sorted out I'll actually get into the game making. I have a lot to learn before that happens, though... ^_^

Aww, I'm sure your future projects will be real cool! Also, there are tons of tutorials! Some of the best I've seen are in Andar's signature~ Though they might be for VX Ace, but most basic skills cross over to MV. :kaojoy:

I've been watching a lot of tutorials on YouTube. It's all the basic stuff, but for some reason some of the content they have in their map designing doesn't show up in mine. I'm guessing that has something to do with plugins or add ons...which again, still no idea what I'm doing...lol. I'm wanting to get started, but I'll definitely have to learn a lot before getting in to it.

Hmm if you find it hard to get started, then start with the aspect, the part, that got you hooked and attracted the most first. Just start, roll the ball. Momentum builds up, you'll break the wall.

Hi there! To learn new things you have certainly come to the right place!
You sound just like me, working on assets and storyline all at the same time without really knowing what I am doing xD
But I'm sure you'll manage to create a beautiful game, just don't give up.

Thanks, y'all. I appreciate the welcome and support and tidbits of advice. I've actually created 24 maps and have created my first character. Luckily...He's a fuzz ball of color with no face...lol. Workin on the main female lead and had to scrap a dungeon tile set so I could create what I need for the story...which is hard. I've never drawin in GIMP before...of course, I'd never heard of it, till a couple years ago...lol. I'm having a lot of fun so far, but I may have to start over...or at least do a ton of editing to the maps...since I've learned how to add my own stuff to them. Grr...Learning curve!
