So hey!
ok dont really know what im doing or what i should say. I used to mess around on rpgmaker vx, found my old laptop and booted it up.
I never finished any game.
I wasnt very good at visuals so i enlisted a friend of mine. we would share files, he would design, i would make the events.
Thats what i like doing. Iv made all sorts, begger, fishing, mining, forging, a crime and punishment system, a banking system, a text based poker game ( that was loonnng and drawn out) a basic dice mini game, and even a forgery system that only served for getting drinks from the pub oh and i started on a sort of gang/moral system
oh i cant script either. didnt really get the hang of that one.
but i may as well start learning eh
so again, hey and be ready for a million questions from me :D
Hey everyone!

Welcome aboard! It's never too late to get back into RPG making. :)

is it worth still sticking with vx? or should i change to mv?
-
Depends on what you're looking to do. I'm not sure how scripting differs from VX to Ace so I'm unclear on whether the fact that few are still using VX matters or not. MV is a good choice if you want to learn scripting as its a good bet that many future versions will continue to use it. It also goes on sale for $20-$25 frequently since it's been out for a few years now so if you can wait until then, it won't break the bank.
