  1. Hello, all. Bet there are a lot of new people right now from the Steam summer sale, huh? I had MV already, but I just got VX Ace to check out its default resources and they speak to me more.

I'm an anime/manga fan (mostly manga); I haven't played many RPGs in the past few years but I'm enjoying Tales of Berseria right now. Has anyone else noticed that after playing with RPG Maker for a little bit, you're more aware of little design details in professionally published RPGs?

To me, what matters most in an RPG is having a story/cast that makes the player feel things. I want to make something like that. I'm confident about learning RPG Maker as a program, and I really enjoy making cutscene events. But picking an idea and sticking with it... now that's the hard part. Any advice on the planning stage of game-making for indecisive people like me? :p
  2. Well I'm not a professional but to start for a good story is to write it down your story first. Planning your antagonist first is a big step too, choosing 2 gendre for your game limits yourself, but keep it simpler. ^w^
  3. Hi, PocketHeal3r. That's some solid advice. Thanks! ^^
  4. My pleasure!~ don't hesitate to pm me if you want to discuss more ^^ ❤️
