  1. Just saying hi to this forum and its members :D

Little about me : I've been playing around with RPGMaker MV since late 2016/early 2017 just getting to know the program etc.
For the past 6-8 months I've been playing around with some ideas and concepts for a (rather ambitious) game of my own so I decided to come look around at this forum 'cause God knows I'll be looking around for tips, tricks and all kinds of help probably LOL

    Anyway...
Just saying hello for now and wishing everyone good fortunes on their respective projects!
  2. hey there! Welcome to the forums! I hope you can locate anything that will help you with your rather ambitious project so that we may all see it come to fruition someday soon!
  3. Welcome and good luck with your game! I will offer up a suggestion, though. Make a small, less ambitious game first. It can be a vanilla, super boring RPG that you don't plan on doing anything with or even putting much polish into. But it will teach you things that you can only learn by making a game from to finish. More importantly, it'll teach you what not to do. You'll also pick up some useful tips and best practices to use for your real game so you don't have to re-factor as much. Unless you've already done this, of course.

Either way, nice to meet you and don't hesitate to ask for help around here.

Thanks for the advice and I definitely understand your reasons for giving it. However I already posted in the project ideas section (which as of yet still needs to be moderated and thus isn't public yet) where I clarified this isn't my first game to make and complete  My first was a small 8 hour game with a lot of mistakes ;)
I do fully understand the massive scope and difficulties of what i am planning (I spent the past 8 months writing backstory and thinking of game features) and as such I do not expect to even finish the game for at least the next 3 years.

Still thank you for your advice 'cause it shows interest and care and that's always appreciated
Of course any further advice will be appreciated just as much :)
  5. ok... how did that happen? I reply to a quote and my reply became part of the quote?! :stare:>_>
Ah well, strange things will happen
  6. The end quote tag must have got messed up or something. Sounds like you're on top of things with your game. If you've got that first project out of the way then by all means, go for it.
