  1. So. I REALLY like rpg maker, even though I only did the mv 20 days free trial (that ends tomorrow), very, very sadly. Very sad mainly because I had the first contact with rpg maker - the XP version - when I was 9! I really, really loved it, but since then, I never remembered the software name.
Things about this only came back to me about 22 days ago, when me and a group of other nerds - my best friend nerds - were challenged by the science teacher to develop a whole game, in 20 days, for a competition that will involve schools from the entire state (in the same network. I mean, I'm brazillian, so we have this thing where there are multiple schools from the same state. Yeah, I live in a kinda poor country and yeah, the government is kinda corrupted - but hey, here I am, 100% poor and broke. That's why I can't buy a license for rpg maker Mv - again, very sadly), and we accepted the challenge. We are making, in a group of 8 people, an whole rpg about healthy and unhealthy food habits, and that is truly lame. I wanted something less cliché, but that's what I've got. In these 20 days, I programmed about 25~minutes of gameplay and kinda works like a demo game, but I feels very accomplished. Until I play some of your unbelievably AWESOME games.
This is a wonderful community, and will be a great experience to interact with you people. I hope to some day in the future buy the whole software (I am truly in love with it, as you can probably see. I grew playing games like super Mario, sonic and pokemon, so the idea of developing my own 2d game sounds awesome). Thanks for reading. My existence feels now less miserable and insignificant. :)
Sorry if my English is bad. I am self taught and learned it by playing pokemon in emulators, so don't expect much else XD
  2. Hi there! Welcome to the forums. :)
  3. Nice to meet you. I encounter someone here who is living in Brazile in this forum. I understand you the situation and I am sorry to hear this. Many of the people here came from different background and country(rich or poor), so they can relate you and you can be related to them.
