I am experimenting with the rpg maker vx as well I looked at the thread aside from a a strange bug on the forums that prevents me from looking at the thread cuz when I hover mouse over is all turns blank white so I am making a new thread because I didn't find what I was after here that I can access I looked. Anways continuing I have an issue finding a way to get the actor to target the sprite image I need it keeps trying to go outside the half the character is there a fix for this or is the size in the sprite maker on famitsu.com the wrong size?

They are correct. You are probably just using them incorrectly.
If your character sprite only contains 12 cells for a single character and not a lot of extra space below it and to the right, make sure you name it with a $ at the start of the filename.
Your description is quite confusing, so I'm not sure if I've assumed the issue correctly or not. If not, can you please post a screenshot?
As for your forum issue, what browser are you using? I suggest trying a different one, or doing a scan for malware. -
Idk why but I had to find my own way for this it at least works for some reason the png sprite I made did not come already stitched for some reason idk why so i had to look around for a program to stitch it and that solved the target issues however this stitcher i used loves to paint the background green for some annoying reason then I had to use paint.net app to do a little cut and pasting again with modifications so finally after a bit of a experimenting I finally got what i was after though unfortunately I doubt this makes enough sense for other people to use xDThey are correct. It would also help if you attach the sprite you're trying to use to your post - RMVX and RMXP use different sprite structures, and if you got a sprite maker for XP then you will not be able to fit them int RMVX.
(I'm assuming you're talking about RMVX because this is the support forum for VX, you didn't set what RM you're using in your profile). -
I am using VX and I am experimenting I am trying to see wich rpg maker fits my style so far vx other then the sprites seems alot more my style then ace I am trying my best getting experience after im done practicing VX im gona pracice on XP then when im done with that I am gona respectfully uninstall and wait till i have money then I am gona buy the software that best fits my needs I am just trying to get some practice on rpg maker in general once I have bought the software and made at least 5 good games that people enjoy to play I am gona see how much further in gaming engines I can expand myselfIt would also help if you attach the sprite you're trying to use to your post - RMVX and RMXP use different sprite structures, and if you got a sprite maker for XP then you will not be able to fit them int RMVX.

Well, you COULD take that route too. Leave off the $ at the start of the filename, then expand the canvas to cater for 4 sprites across and 2 down. You don't need a stitcher for that. Paint.NET and GIMP are both free tools that will do it easily (you're after the Change Canvas Size option, not the Resize option) and both let you make the additional background transparent, which gets rid of your ugly green background issue.
Don't go for VX. If you like it better than XP, get VX Ace. It's very similar to VX, but infinitely more flexible, and a LOT more scripts available to customize your game. As far as I'm concerned, VX is no longer in the running (ie - I can not think of any other reason to buy VX instead of Ace apart from its price, and there are frequently sales and contests that make that a non-issue). It's a choice between XP and VX Ace.
Anyway, I think your initial problem has been solved, so ...
