Hi all! We decided that the contest entry topics should be limited to submissions only. While we loved seeing how excited and supportive everyone was being, our concern was that the actual entries would get lost amidst all the other chatter, thus making voting more difficult and less effective. But, we recognize that you guys want a chance to talk to each other about your entries, so this is it.

I didn't want to disrupt the submission threads, so I figured I'd ask here. Can we use the RTP characters? Kind of like I once dressed up Ralph as a pumpkin? Or should it be original characters only?

I have a question. Do we have to create a full sprite or just a frame like Isabella Ava’s submission? Halloween Cosplay Event (MV Entries)

Yes you can!



You can do a full sprite as well if you want! I would encourage it. But on submission itself, we need a "photo" of the character(s) since it will be used as avatar for the RMW twitter account :kaohi:

So, do we have to use the generator or can we edit an existing sprite with an art program if we like? :kaoswt2:

My entry is a classic monster, and since I already made one part for this,
might as well make the rest of the hair into generator parts too for if anyone wanted them lol

It's the same as Original Character Contest we held a while back. Except, Halloween edition.

I haven't participated in any events since the love mapping contest. My entry is a result of a recently trend, the trend seems over now but I think it still fits the Halloween: Princess Boo or Booette, a female anime version of the boos from Mario game :kaoswt:

@callmedan I actually saw a pretty cool cosplay of Booette a while ago. It was a bit different from your version, as the skin was white as well. I gotta admit I like Booette's design more than Bowsette. :ahappy:

@slimmmeiske2 Tbh, I forgot the white skin detail until I almost finished it. And yeah, Booette is much more adorable than Bowsette. XD

Hm, can't decide whether to do Eric :ehappy: or Ralph :rhappy: or even Harold :hhappy:.

Can I make a piece with all three of them together? Or should I just pick one and place the others here?
If only one, which one of them should I use? :kaoback:

@SmashArtist I'm pretty sure your entry should only have one character, but you could post a group photo of them here. I'd say roll a die to decide on which one if you like them all equally.
