  1. In RPG Maker, you have a party of actors. You can add actors to the party, or remove actors from the party at anytime. However, by default, all of the actors in the party can be interacted with in the menu, and may participate in battle. There may be situations where you just want an actor to “appear” as if they are part of the the party, but aren’t actually in the party. For example, let’s say an NPC asked you to accompany them through a cave, and you wanted the player to see that the NPC is following them, but you didn’t want them to actually use the NPC in battle. With this plugin, you can add actors as “guests”, which would simply allow them to show up as non-party followers.

  2. I could have used this for my birthday bash project! I instead opted to just teleport rescued NPCs out.

    Nice job!
  3. So 1 person can lead 3 chickens around without the chickens being able to fight... fun times await!

    That is correct.
  5. Plugin has been updated in response to a request by @Cherry-sama on youtube.

You can now control guest followers in cut-scenes using move routes. Here is a picture of how it works:

So it's basically your regular move route, except you stick a plugin command right before it telling the event to control a guest instead.
  6. Yey..

    Guest follower...

    Let me use it..

    Good for escorting quest :3

Hooray! Amazing! This will help nicely. :D

Do you think creating a similar function, like a Follower Control Plugin, would be doable? Or do you think it would be too difficult?
  8. Is there any way to enable guest follower while keeping party follower disabled?

    And thanks for the plugin!
  9. Edit: I realize I put this in the wrong spot, sorry, please ignore. I will make a thread in the support forum if I can't find the answer there.

So BTW, I do love this plugin. I use another party follower plugin that is simpler to use in many cases (and you can see your party members on your menu screen) But... that being said, you can't use that plug in when removing party members during a cutscene. This one however works marvelously in those cases! BIG FAN! :D (AND as an added bonus, thus far, the two plugins seem to be perfectly compatible with each other)
  10. Forgive the necro post, but the plugin doesn't seem to work with the newest version of MV. I copied and pasted the code t make sure it was typed correctly as a script call but it doesn't add the actor as a guest party member. Do you have any plans to update it or should I look elsewhere? Thanks in advance.
  11. @Alexander Hawksmoor You're okay - the necroposting rule doesn't apply to things like script/plugin threads because we know that bugs and support questions will come at irregular intervals and need to be answered.
  12. Forgive me, the problem with the plugin was on my end. I had left my party followers on transparent which is why they werent showing up. Ultimate facepalm.
  13. I absolutely love this plugin. Thanks for it. Make's escort quest #worth creating :)
  14. This plugin is quite useful! :p
