    GENERAL INFORMATION

    PLOT

Green Wonderland is a mystery/drama game developed using the RPG Maker VX ACE engine by studio CCM. The story revolves around Aidan, a 15-year-old boy who lost his mother in a car accident two years ago—or so it seems. Beyond the tragedy, he feels that an important fragment of his memory is missing, something connected to his mother’s death. On the same night everything happened, he remembers hearing the moon cry and seeing his father in the attic before his consciousness faded, leaving him with no recollection of what came next. Aidan believes Maya might still be alive somewhere and that she was captured by something hiding in the moon. Although Attila doesn’t believe his son’s story, it’s up to you to guide Aidan, with the help of therapist Ramiro, through his darkest feelings and memories to uncover whatever mysteries that night holds.

It is important to note that this game is not recommended for minors or for those who are easily disturbed, as it addresses highly sensitive topics. CCM also makes it clear that the storyline does not reflect the personal opinions of its creators and that everything described throughout the game is purely a work of fiction. Any psychological impacts caused by playing Green Wonderland are the sole responsibility of the player—please be aware.

  2. I've played it, thought it would be more appropriate to say that I tried playing it and got stuck rather quickly. But I still have some potentially useful feedback for you :)

So, to jump straight to the most important thing: I have no idea what I'm meant to do in this room. I've tried interacting with every object (or wall), sometimes multiple times until it stopped producing any dialogue. I can use the journal to save the game, but besides that there doesn't appear to be anything I can do here. Leaving doesn't work, interacting with things doesn't work, pressing every key on my keyboard doesn't work (though one did take an in-game screenshot).

Though I can tell you that I really like this room! The atmosphere it creates with the shadows, the moonlight coming through the window and the ticking clock is phenomenal. Shame I didn't get to see anything else.

One nitpick I have is that the moonlight should probably appear below the player character - when you walk through it, it appears as if it was floating above the player. It would maybe make sense to display it above the player if it was coming from below, but this way it would be reasonable for the player to block it.

I also really don't understand the point of those "installers" - why not just have the rar file produce that top folder directly, instead of adding this extra step?

Hello! How are you? First of all, thank you so much for playing. And to answer your question: you need to interact with all the objects in this room and then try to sleep.

    Hi, doing quite alright.

I... think I did that? After nothing produced any more text, I did do a round of trying to interact with everything once more. And I do remember there being a few lines about not wanting to go to sleep.

Though there is a chance I did somehow miss that - I'll give it another try tomorrow.

You need to interact with the notebook, the paper on the dresser, the books, the plate on the floor, and Aidan's bedroom door. The game has several sections like this, where you need to interact with multiple elements in the environment for the story to progress. If you can't figure it out, please let me know.
  6. Update note: During the puzzle inside the wine bottle, if the player died, the game would show the entire introduction with logos and the main menu, taking a long time before the player could load the game and try again. I modified the game to skip directly to the title screen in case of a game over. Other bugs (sprite errors, swapped character names) have also been fixed.
  7. The visuals look great! gonna try this later, always love seeing an RMVXA game

Oh! Thank you so much! I also love RPG Maker games; in fact, it's the best version of the program in my opinion. Haha When you play my game, I’ll be really happy to hear what you think—I hope you enjoy it! ^^
