Hello there I'm planning to get the "Old School Pack" for my EarthBound project. So I wonder when I buy the pack what will happend? Will it be like a zip that I extract to my rpg maker folder or what?

Depends - Steam or non-steam? The Steam version gives you a folder of resources in your /dlc folder.

You'll get a download link, either by email (main store) or in the forum client area (forum store).Non-steam, I will be getting it from the website
That link will give you the pictures in an archive, and you have to manually import the pictures into any project that should use them - they will NOT automatically be available. That was made this way because only those projects who use them will then have them in their download size.
Steam is almost the same, but there are some added functions for better managing of those downloads. -
