  1. Hello everybody.

I am pretty sure you all know Google Sketch Up, the 3D modeling tool.

What I would like to do is to use this great program to make backgrounds for my RPGM games, but I don't really know if it legally possible.

I'm referring to the freeware edition of Sketch Up, not to the Pro.

Could you tell me if the free edition can be used for RPG Maker (of course, quoting the program in the credits)?

    Thanks in advance.

    Second Question

    What is SketchUp Make?

SketchUp Make is the new name for our basic version. It’s available today and still free to use. With this change, we’re also clarifying that SketchUp Make is not licensed for commercial work.

So no, you would need the Pro version to use the backgrounds in a commercial product.
  3. And what about non-commercial?
  4. For non-commercial I don't see why not.  Basically the free version says you can't profit off anything you create with the application.

I would say contact the company directly just for confirmation but that would be my take on it.
  5. Okay, thanks a lot, Psyker :D
