  1. So Today I decided to buy the RPG maker MV Sci-Fi tileset (http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/a/rpg-maker-vxace-tileset/sci-fi-tiles). After I got the files and put them in the "tilesets" folder in my project I added them into the database and tried them out. however when i did that this happened:
    sci_fi_giltch.gif
    After this happened i tried looking up tutorials, this didn't help so i tried looking to see if anyone else is experienceing the same problems. and it doesn't seem so. So i was wondering what the problem may be and if anyone knows how to fix this. and in case anyone was wondering this is how i set it up in the database:

  2. The tileset you linked is formatted for VXace. Older versions of RPGmaker use a smaller grid size (32x32) than MV (48x48), so that's probably the issue.
  3. That’s exactly what happened. It says on the link “optimized for VX Ace”.

    I don’t believe that tileset exists for MV. If you want to try to use it, you will need to resize it. There are plenty of threads here telling how to best do that.

    Oh? really? I swear this tileset was for MV since I found it by googling "RPG maker mv SF dungeon". however it seems you are probably right. I think i can find a way to convert it to 48 x 48. thank you!
  5. The scale between the two is 1.5. 32x32 -> 48x48.

    If you use Photoshop, here is a tutorial.
    If you use GIMP, here is a reddit discussion.
    If you use Paint.net, here is a tutorial.
