Getting custom music to work

omg I can't get new music working properly with MV.

I converted 2 mp3 files to ogg files using 2 online converters.

Then I used Switch Sound File converted and tried the same thing.

but the ogg files won't play at all when I try to play them in RPG Maker MV's sound test.

I dunno if this has to do with the fact that whenever I play the default RPG Maker MV songs, there's like a 2 second delay before the song plays, and sometimes a song won't play at all and I'll have to re-enter the maker for the default songs to work again.

What settings are you guys using the convert your files?  I've tried encoding music files with the same quality, and encoding the files to a lower quality.
