  1. These probably aren't useful for most of you, but I've had reason to distract m'self, and this is what I came up with, from scratch. Figured I was gonna need these for m' project sooner or later; may as well do them now.

A sari is an Indian dress (not Native American). Multiple different ways to wear them, apparently. I didn't care for how they look when the end is draped over the left arm, and I couldn't get the thing to show correctly when trying to wrap it about the head if including any kind of hair. Thus, it's over the left shoulder, which is also a pretty common way to wear one. Still need to do the "neck" parts for this, if people would like.

The bindi is the red dot on the forehead of some who practice Hindu (yes, I had to look up what it's called). Not being familiar with the religion, I'm a bit lost when they say it goes over the sixth chakra and what all that's supposed to entail. Much easier to make than the sari.

    Sample images in the spoiler.

A face sample of the bindi:

Personally, I've found the third skin tone and the black hair work best for both:

Doesn't mean ya' have to go with those, but (to me) they look a might odd otherwise. And, front hair easily can get in the way of the bindi, leaving it oddly sitting on the hair:

It's plug-and-play into the generator's folders, and free to a good home; just include me in the credits. Enjoy! Sari and Bindil.zip
  2. Hi there, lord_steak,

Thank you for the generator parts! I just tried them on Game Character Hub (some custom parts work for it) but yours didn't work. But no matter, I'm sure it works just fine in the Ace generator.

If I might point out, as someone who has met many Indian Hindus IRL, the bindi is usually a darker red colour than that crimson. It's an easy fix for any one of us. Just thought I'd point that out. Traditionally in my country (Malaysia), it used to signal a woman's marital status, but lately it can be adorned by men, women and children for any number of religious reasons, or simply be for decoration.

I am especially grateful for those different saris. Their patterns are intricate and I'm glad to see you attempt them. I'm just wondering if you intend to provide more tanned skinned arms, but anyway, thank you for sharing! I will have a use of these in a future project, actually.
  3. Thanks for the feedback.  They do work fine in the Ace generator, and I left the skin tones as such to match the rest of the generator parts, though I might tweak them for personal use (slight increase to saturation, slight decrease to luminosity, and it's pretty close).

For saris, the patterns are beautiful, but I don't have the pixels to put them in place on a 32 x 32 sprite.  Maybe I can for "neck" parts.

Knew a number of practicing Hindus as an undergrad, but I've not seen any since.  Darkened it up some.  This better, you think?

The only thing I see there is a link.
The file is 323 bytes. So the file is corrupted from the forums upgrade.
  12. Does anyone have a copy of the sari generator parts? The download link doesn't work.
  13. bump?
