Gamepad on playtest trouble

    For some reason my controller isn't working when I play test. Does anyone have a solution?

    May sound silly, but when did you plug the controller in? Whenever I plug in my controller after starting the game, the controller is not recognized by the game (except for when using a script to read it, but that's a different story).

    Also, did you edit the controller options at all? Press F1 and go to the gamepad tab to edit these. Of course this doesn't affect the motion axis of the controller.

    It might also help to know what kind of controller you have.

    1. Is your controller compatible with your version of Windows?
    2. Are the drivers installed?
    3. Have you tried unplugging them and replugging them?
    4. Have you tried restarting your computer?
    5. Does Windows "see" the controllers when they're plugged in?
    6. Are they wireless? If so, have you tested the batteries?
    7. Have the controllers never worked with RPG Maker or did they recently stop working?
