Game to show potential?

Hello all!

I hope this is the appropriate section to post this in, couldn't find anywhere else really. I'm seriously considering buying rpg maker vx ace, but before I purchase it I'm interested in seeing what it can do, or rather has the potential to do.

I could watch tutorials and review videos but I would prefer to play something. In your opinion, what is a game that "has it all", at least from a technical stand point. Doesn't necessarily have to be a good game, but if you could recommend a game that is technically sophisticated, good scripting AND had a good story? That would be a bonus!

Sort on topic/off topic: Have you tried using the 30 day trial? And/or VX Ace Lite? (Lite is super limited, but can give you a good idea of what you're working with.

You can find all of them available to download on these forums. Oh, I see that some one else recommended a couple of the same games as me. :)

It's made with VX or VX Ace and is a highly rated game.

As an example, VX Ace games rarely do well on Steam, this game has been featured.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far! Going to check these out! Yeah before I do spend the money I will look into the 30 day trial.

Hopefully seeing a great technical and polished game will motivate me further on my future project and prove that my ideas can be done and aren't too ambitious within the software

Oh, I replied before seeing TheOddFellow's reply. To The Moon has been on my Steam wish list for some time. Never realized it was made with VX! Looks I will finally have to get it.

I'd check on Earth Under Attack  too.
