  1. http://t.mwx.ca/misc/1904/mr_picturesmoke.mp4 (alt link since apparently I can't embed HTML5 video)

I'm surprised that this worked. Make smoke out of pictures, and they each use the same variables, just assigned with different picture IDs. Kinda expected them to pile into one place with all the parallel processes running at once.

Does mean I don't have to have 4-6 events per smoke-stack everywhere though.

any better? I know that people and animals will liven it up. but I'm still not sure if the mapping is finished.

Shadows will be done properly later.
  3. Got a new name for my game and a new Titlescreen as well.

The logo is nice, you can make the "of" smaller, it will have a cool effect.
The background is maybe a bit generic don't you think?

  5. A cafe for dogs :)

It is a big map for certain. There is a bit much dead space in areas. I would say more trees of variance and also more flowers. The more variety the more it can pop.
  7. Today we celebrate the life and times of a very special individual,
who did so much for us and whom we thanked so little.
    Happy birthday, Easter Bunny!
  8. April Fools Day was three weeks ago. :D

I'm not sure what else to make of that heh. Combat(?) looks interesting though. Didn't think that could be done in RPG Maker.
  9. @kenjivn14 I have serious problems with the size of your maps. Take the fourth one down, for example. One tile is usually considered to the the equivalent of 3 feet. That makes your office 75 feet wide and 27 feet deep. Just think about the scale of that in relation to the number of people apparently working there, going by the number of desks and work chairs. Or, as another example, the garage/auto repair shop. That's 69 feet x 39 feet. The player has to walk around a vast amount of space. The scale of these rooms seems disproportionately vast.

Oh, thinking of scale, I'm not sure that some of the objects work. For example in the first map, compare the size of the sink with the size of your double door.

@SOC honestly I think the different housing styles clash to much but that's personal preference so... yeah.

On the other hand, when you actually play the game, you only see a portion of the map at a time.
  11. @somenick i give feedback on what i see which in this case is the whole map, furtermore even When not visibel all at once to many different styles can still make a city feel disjointed When paying

Not to mention i also was clear in saying it also came down to personal preference so... There's that ;)

It's the way how everything looks in the game. Basically, you're walking over a huge world map that looks exactly like this background. I've edited my post to replace the background with a slightly modified one that has a little bit more surface roughness to match the ingame graphics in a better way. Hopefully, the title font doesn't mix too much with the background now. :)

    @PsychicToaster I'm Super Duper Serial!
It's a small project to learn Javascript and test out a bare bones version of my Warfare(/RTS) Plugin, before possibly using it in an extended version in a MV remake of my main game.
If you want to see more Gameplay, there are videos here.

LOL. So the link explained it as a parody a bit better than the trailer. I had a feeling it was satire, but you never know haha. Pretty cool that you're learning to script. Now I'm on board with it heh.
  14. Started on a new map, a roman villa type building on a mountain. Im pleased with the building but not sure about the space around it.

The building itself is good. But the outside is too wild and random.

An example of what you can do in the outside:

Try to make a beautiful garden, simetric, with a fountain in the center and a nice path leading to the front door.
  16. The starting camp I made for a game for the "release something" event. Some explorers try to find some food on a strange island.

  17. @beliziam Those pillars at the front will have trouble supporting the weight. The pillars should spread out into arches so there isn't too much pressure coming down on a small area.
  18. @beliziam as @Aoi Ninami points out the pillars at the front (where the entrance supposedly is) are structurally unsound. You can do as she suggests or you could have the building more T-shaped with the extension thus running more under that part of the roof to support (which would mean adding some wall like you have at the sides)

As for the outside : it depends what you are going for really. if you are aiming for a more secluded, eccentric owner for that house then this is pretty good if however you are aiming more for a posh, rich noble then @miani makes a good suggestion
  19. I gave the map another try. Still not finished but im getting there:
