@Tuomo L I find your interior to be too dark for my taste. It's like it's nightime, but the sun outside tells me there's still daylight.
I'd shift the brightness to (almost) normal inside and brighter than normal near the windows.

Hello, a screenshot of my first interior map with my own tilesets, made with MV and Yanfly doodads plug-in. Bye ;)
-
@Moo: It's hard to tell, but it looks like the number of stairs would lead much higher than the upper floor.
I'd move the two landing "up" to shorten the long vertical stairs.
But I like the layout. -
@cabfe Thank you for your comment ! You are totaly right, I not seen that but yes it's true ! thx, I upload a new version I hope it's better ? Bye
(Tu es français ?) -
@Moo Even if cabfe is, please remember that this is an English language site and all public posts should be in English and only in English.
I can't go into details as this thread is about maps, not about resources, but I wonder if you have been entirely consistent in the angle of perspective on all your tiles. Some look to be more top down than others. Resource Support might be a place to check that out if you have any doubts about it. -
I used one of Moghunter's plugins in one of my MV games to get a good looking battle HUD. The character is from the Cover Art Characters DLC, and the SV battler is by Vibrato. The slime battler was created by @Thalzon. Anyway, here it is.

And when she attacks:

I also got a menu going. The script was, again, created by Moghunter, and the character is from the Cover Art Characters DLC.

Thank you for reply, sorry for the french question/phrase I know the forum rules and I never speak in french here no worry ;) I just see his game in french/english.
I post here because it's for maps, for sprites/advice I know the dedicated post, but if I post here it's because I only want to show my maps ;)
Have you any comment (from a moderator yeah !) for the map please ?
Thank you and bye, have a good week end. -
@Moo I like your map, the layout is nice, and good job at making the tileset yourself :) 5 stars :D
-
Thank you !!! really
I was looking your screenshots, I like the Mog Plug-ins and I don't know if you draw your sprites but I like the character and ennemi sprites, really nice, good luck for your game. Bye. -
I don't draw them :) But I'm glad you like it! :DThank you !!! really

Working on a library map. The map is still work in progress. Im not sure yet how i light the map. Since there are no windows in the library to protect the books. The cell door on the right leads to an cellar where the real good stuff is.

Cool! You should make candles on the tables for the light.Working on a library map. The map is still work in progress. Im not sure yet how i light the map. Since there are no windows in the library to protect the books. The cell door on the left leads to an cellar where the real good stuff is.

Decided to do away with the pews completely and continued tweaking the carpet. Not sure I like it in the X shape but I kinda like the rest of it.
Still need to do the light and shadow layers along with lamp and candle animations but moved on to working on other maps to keep my pace going.

@Moo I'm French speaker too maybe if you need help in french in this forum, just type it so in the post and to PM you if some of us can help you.

@Moo and @Marquise* I'm not French, but I have learned how to speak it well :D

@Moo As a map, my opinion is coloured by the fact that my eye is distracted by the subtle shifts in perspective. However, leaving that to one side, I would soften the light effect coming in from your windows. Light doesn't have sharp edges like that. I would also spread it out, rather than narrowing it down, again this gives, imo, a more natural look.
I question your candles. This is a library. Having candles on the left hand tables which are dripping wax down them would not happen. They would be in some sort of candle holder which would catch the running wax before it hit the books/scrolls. I suggest you use only the candles that you have on the right hand tables which do not have that problem.
Top level left, the placement of the chair and table prevents access to the books. The chair looks to be too heavy to turn round and use at the table, so maybe change it to something else?
There is an inherent contradiction between having windows in that back wall (which implies a normal thickness wall) and the depth of wall required for books and scrolls to be stored within it. -
Hello, thank you for your reply @Thomas Smith , @Marquise* I note your proposal, but in start I ask just for curiosity ;) But why not !
@Kes thank you for advice, you pointed the faults in the map but no thing you like ? ^^ I follow your comments and try to make the changes in new version, it's better ? -
I changed the message box around to better fit to the bust cutoffpoint, what y'all think?

Another screenshot from my game Ceress and Orea. Dropping it here for #screenshotsaturday! ;3
Everyone! Keep up the great work. :kaojoy:
And remember to make a back-up of your project! -
@Moo The shape of the light is much better, though if it were my map, I would apply a little Gaussian Blur to it as the side edges are still quite strongly defined. I think I would also add a little glow to the fireplace, as it would be throwing a bit of light out as well as heat.
As for things I like - it's functional, it gets the job done. Not all maps need to be full of eye candy. It's a bit difficult to judge as it is deserted and a library is really designed for readers, but I suppose there's a story reason why it's empty. The stairs and red chairs are nice, and I like the scroll storage racks - a very sensible way to keep them.
