Love the megamen, but I imagine they can't be used commercially, right ? Particularly the blue one
Nah, you're confused. That's Ultraman... No wait that's taken too... Superman! No... Robotman? Blonde Cyborg? Ugh, what isn't taken?

You can't use copyrighted material in anything you distribute, regardless of whether it's commercial or not. It's all a violation of copyright.

Your advantage in this particular case is that it's not an exact recreation of the original sprite, and - to me, at least - the RPG Maker chibi version certainly is recognizable if you say "this is Megaman," but it wouldn't have been the first thing I thought of when I looked at it. So I can't see you having any issues if you used the sprite and didn't call it Megaman.

But using it and calling it that - all fan games are technically violations of copyright, unless a given company has explicitly given permission for them.

    Advent Calendar Day 22

    Megaman Image.png

Today's Advent Calendar brings us Day 2 of 2 involving MegaMan.

First introduced in 1987, the MegaMan series is celebrated for its engaging gameplay, memorable music, and iconic pixel art style, making it a cornerstone of retro gaming and a lasting symbol of video game culture. Converting the Mega Man franchise to an RPG Maker style opens the opportunity to delve deeper into its rich lore and character development.

Yesterday was the Character sets of MegaMan, today are his SV Battlers.

  4. The OG Super Fighting Robot!

Though, with a cape, I think the red version could double as Magneto too.

    So cool. Thanks for this!

I actually already have a Magneto SV Battler:

To be clear, I never said I would call it megaman. I was talking about using the sprite itself.

That's why I dedicated a portion of the post to saying the sprite probably does not pass the test of being reasonably assumed to be Megaman to the average person.

    Advent Calendar Day 23
    Gargoyle - Image.png
Perched atop the crumbling tower, the gargoyle is both a sentinel and a guardian. Carved from ancient stone, and awakened under the light of the full moon, his eyes glowing with an eerie luminescence.

For today's addition to my Advent Calendar I have for you a Gargoyle. I have two sprite sheets for him, including one of him awakening from his stone slumber. So anyone looking to add this defender of castles and towers to their game; you now have him.

  9. So cool and freaky! Gargoyles are cool, and in my stories, they're friendly and wise despite their looks. A lot of them serve as guardian angels of some kind, watching over the City of Dreams by day and reporting back to the Creator at night. Hey, now that I consider it, that would work great in a game.

Also did you know that there's a talking animatronic gargoyle at Denver International Airport? It's so cool! It was installed to poke fun at the conspiracies around the airport. There might not really be demons or aliens at DIA, but trust me, there's gargoyles.
  10. So cool. I guess now we just need a weapon like a hand cannon for our......uh...gigaman!

For the last day of this years Advent Calendar, I once again bring you another character sprite from the MZ RTP that is missing a battler; MZ_People3_1 - SV Battler.

No longer does the King of your Kingdom need to stay upon his thrown and watch from the sidelines, his majesty can now join your team's party and fight alongside your heroes in their epic battlers to save the realm from evil.

In closing, I once again want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas filled with happiness and peace. Enjoy the celebrations!
  12. It's about time that king did something other than just sitting around expecting everyone else to do the 'protect and defend' thing.

Thank you for a marvelous calendar, so much to enjoy there. I appreciate all the hard work that went into it.

Have a good rest and Happy Christmas.
  13. Thank you very much for all those beautiful ressources. Many great sv battlers. I think my favourite is the vibrato-style Goblin.
  14. What an awesome Advent this year brought! Enjoy some much-needed rest, and Merry Christmas!
  15. Thank you for all the amazing resources  Especially i love the new weapons and the meat butcher!
    Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
  16. Thank you for your incredible Advent this year, GalacticGod. I could have sworn I commented on a few more than what I did. Maybe I started too and got distracted? Nevertheless, it has been a real treat going back through and seeing everything that you have created for this years Advent. I am always so impressed with all your SV battlers. They are my least favorite thing to make and I am always amazed at how many you manage to create. They are so well done and simply incredible. I always enjoy seeing what new Marvel or video game character you've brought for us, but I also enjoyed all the Missing MZ SV battlers you e made for us.

Merry Christmas, GalacticGod and Happy New Years!
  17. Thanks for your wonderful resources! Your sprites and SV battlers look great, and it's always nice to see some tiles too. I thought it was especially cool how you came up with some fun weapons, like the vine whip and fiddle. Happy holidays!
  18. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, GalacticGod. SV Battlers are such an integral part of making RPG Maker battles come alive, and I know they’re not always the easiest asset to create! So, the fact you make so many is incredible. Thank you~
  19. HAPPY BELATED BDAY and thank you for an awesome Advent!!
Also, I hope you have a happy new year!!

  20. Happy New Year Everyone!!!!

I wanted to start the year off with some resources so I have some edits and recolors of the SF_Slaughterrobot, SV Battler, that I did during my Advent Christmas Calendar. Hope you guys find these variations useful.
