Clickteam has created a new program called Fusion Character Animator. It is supposed to be compatible with Rpg Maker Vx Ace. I was wondering if anyone has tried it out? It looks like it might be a good way to produce character animations.

More people might try it out if you give a link to it, I've never heard of either program or company ;-)

Good if you speak French.
Why doesn't Chrome automatically translate for me anymore? :( -
It didn't want you to get lazy Shaz, it switched things up just as you were getting used to it. Although, I'm already lazy and it did it to me too... So, I've gotten around it by just not going to foreign sites. ;) (jk.)
In all seriousness, it just doesn't have the professionalness that I can see right away that would interest me, so just by the screenshots given I probably (personally) won't waste my time with it. -
I tried to feed the URL into Google Translate and it told me the page was already in English :D So the forum is English, but that specific thread was posted by someone who speaks French, I guess.
Anyway ... I didn't really pay attention to the professionalism - I just looked at the images that had been made. None of them would suit RPG Maker style, though there's nothing stopping you from making the pieces according to the style and putting them together. If you wanted something 3D you could do the same in DAZ, and if you wanted something cartoony, you could just draw the bits.
But even if you had "parts" in the correct style, the resulting animation would not look good. What it seems to be doing is simply attaching the bits to each other, and moving/turning them individually, just like a 3D character animator would use rigging/bones. But with the 2D version, you wouldn't get the light shining on it in the same way. So while yes, you COULD use the animator to do your sprites for you without having to draw each frame individually, you'd still have to draw the 4 directions, and it just wouldn't look "right" when you put it beside others.
If you wanted to ditch the RTP style and make ALL graphics yourself according to your own style, it would be much more useful.
If you want to get technical, it says it EXPORTS in VX Ace format, which it probably does. But it wouldn't make sprites that could be used alongside - pretty much ANYTHING already available. -
It looks like Spriter to me? Based on the bone-like features it has.

Mine doesn't work half the time either... :/http://community.clickteam.com/entries/585-Fusion-Character-Animator

Right-Click -> Translate does though! (I just learned about that recently :p )
Yeah it doesn't look like something specifically for RPG Maker, just something that COULD be use with RPGM, which I bet there are tons of other options available as well... -
A low cost variant of spriter. I bought it recently though hadn't tested it yet due to hd failure. So i will let y'all know how it is once i get up and running
