Forum keeps destroying my posts with whacky keyboard shortcuts while typing

I wanted to post a simple tutorial on how to get around the broken "Event Touch" in VX Ace and I gave up after the second time some totally useless keyboard shortcut of the forum kicked in and reverted everything back to minutes ago and posted the unfinished thing.

I am using Firefox and intend to keep using it. Do I now have to make all my posts in a text editor and then post them here or is there some setting or workaround or future bugfix that will help with this?

For now it is one big darn pain in the behind to use this forum.

What shortcuts are you referring to?

I have no problems with the shortcuts, though I kinda curious what kind of shortcut that you mean

I was just typing in the text input field, then I switched (alt+tab) to VX Ace so I could look at the code I did there and then switched back the same way. Afterwards the text input worked but while typing suddenly the page switched to having posted the topic. It doesn't seem to happen if I don't switch out first. It's not fixed when clicking into the text field after switching back to the forums. For now I will avoid alt+tab, but I never get this with other forums so I thought I'd share the issue. I'll just have to get used to doing things slow (with clicks to switch programs) for this place then. If it is a shortcut issue with this particular forum, would be great to see it fixed. If it's firefox, then I hope they will fix the bug.

I've never had that issue. But maybe you should type in a word processing program and copy-paste into the forum text box, if it's a long post.

I've never heard of this issue. You sure you don't have some malware running, or some strange extensions that have auto-installed?

I run sometime wiht this issue but it is because my ''shortcut'' was settle to ''previous pages'' go check in your shortcut and you should be able to fix it

also if you return to yourt page you see bellow the little bar where is write ''auto save'' ? 

just click on it and you will able to retrieve your elements again :3

Wait ... what shortcuts? Where is the little bar with "auto save"?

auto-save is something appear the down bar of of the reply post or your post editor after a certain moment this is allow to save your content and retrieve it if you lost data :3

the shortcut was made by myself for fastly change pages xD this is not a premade shortcut :3!

but some computer have this premade shortcut :3

I simply stopped alt-tabbing between windows when using this forum and that's working fine. Just need to change some habits ^^
