It does come down to personal preference, I think. The upper row has more interesting shapes to me, but the lower row's colors are a lot more vibrant and fun. As someone who often goes back and remakes resources, I'd suggest just doing what you want, be it re-doing icons or just making new things. ;)

Well, certain aspects of the top ones look better, like the top of the radish, the leaf on the stem of the orange, etc. But yes, I think your previous work was better as a whole. Keep at it, though. You do have talent!

Ok I did something a bit different. I made these awhile back but for some reason I never posted it. They're raw gemstones mined from the ground with dirt still attached XD

These are great. The colors really pop and create contrast with the brown dirt. Nice job!

Modified some keys and recolour them as follow (rename it to your need)
top: Rusty key , Normal key, Gold key, can be used for diff chest or % to open, rusty on 10% because it can break?)
mid: chest keys in dungeons
bot: Boss Keys perhaps? (fire, ice, jungle/forest, Desert/sand, dark/pahntom/hollow) see what fits your need.

When used, credit Lunarflame for creating them and her Terms, no need to credit me for modify them.

These turned out so well. Hmm, Maybe I should recolor some of my old keys.

Really nice resources here, and they all match well with Avery's Icons.
