So I got nostalgic this weekend and started playing old school snes games. I usually go to older rpgs like 7th Saga(Lux ftw) or Chrono Trigger, but this weekend I wanted some ACTION. So yeah, Final Fight is hard. I barely got to the second stage <.< that game needs a defend button in a bad way. All the enemy has to do is surround you and it's OVER lol One guy can walk up to you, grab you, and piledrive you...instant death. That's on normal mode in the SECOND stage <.<
Now Megaman X, I used to play religiously when I was a kid but never managed to beat Sigma. Through muscle memory I was able to get all the heart boosts, sub tanks, upgrades, and even the hadoken. So I get to the first stage of Sigma's fortress....and proceed to fall to my death at the beginning for a good 30 minutes until I finally manage to actually get INTO his fortress lol next I beat the guy from the beginning of the game(can't recall his name....meh he's not important). Dashing further into the fortress I reach the boss of the area, the spider of DOOOM. So this guy is immune to damage until he opens his eye?, which he does for a split second when he reaches the bottom of the screen most likely crushing you for a second. This guy wrecked me. Ultimately I was unable to defeat him and gave up to play donkey kong country lol was a pretty good nostalgic trip. What about you guys/gals? When you feel all nostalgic, what games do you pick up?

It's a mix, really. Classic Mega Man games on the NES and Castlevania games come to mind, but I also play Twisted Metal 2 sometimes, too. I used to hit up X all the time, but after beating it, I can't bring myself to play it anymore (I don't know why, either, as it's a great game). I know at some point I tried replaying through Super Mario RPG and Suikoden, but I never finished either of them. I'd get back to them, except I'm usually busy with music or something else. If I have free time, I play RuneScape (which is surprisingly better than what it used to be).

I recall playing runescape back in middle school(I'm 26 now btw...yeesh) when it first came out. It was game changing. Can't believe it's still around, but then again so is Asheron's Call & Everquest soooooo there you go lol Maybe after I beat Megaman X, I'd be the same way, but until then I will keep raging until I beat that spider & ultimately Sigma. I was thinking about beating X, I might go back and start from Mega Man 1 and make my way up. Never played any of the castlevania games or twisted metal, probably should lol Super Mario RPG is actually on my list of games to beat again soon. Suikoden 1 was really fun but the second one really made the series for me. Hmm, maybe I'll check out how runescape is doing during lunch today lol

You'll certainly be surprised by how much the game has improved, I can assure you.

The last few weeks I've been playing Mega Man X Collection, so Mega Man X1-6! Also Mega Man Battle and Chase, which doesn't have the same "nostalgia factor" but it's fun.
I'm reminded once again how much I love the Mega Man X games. It's almost perfect action game gameplay for me. -
Sonic the Hedgehog forever. I never had any nintendo consoles until late into the N64's lifespan, but Sonic was my childhood.

I should give that one a try too. I had a genesis for alittle while but I was only able to get to maybe the second or third level of sonic...
