  1. What the hell is going on, it's working OK the first time and now I can't even use it at all and there are no updates running for it. It's like as if I not longer own the product. I've done everything like verifying game cache, re-installing. Nothing. I've done internet searches for a solution and even checked steam support.

    It just refuses to work.
  2. Did you delete the folder before trying to reinstall it? Sometimes steam games/tools get bugged with something that is still inside the old folder after reinstalling.
  3. I have the same issue since last update (10,4mb)

Failed to start game (missing executable)
  4. Check your antivirus quarantine. Mine is pretty sensitive and it thought that MV (and 2k and 2k3 and XP and VX and VXA) was a virus (it's a false positive), all you have to do is whitelist the files and restore them and it should work. Hope this helps :)
  5. I hadn't touched any files.

It was in the quarantine hold on avast but restoring it (making it not something to consider a virus) has not prevented Steam from being stupid and letting me open the program I paid for.
  6. I had the same issue earlier, also caused by avast. What I did was listing the programme as exception, de-install MV, deleted Steam's appcache folder, restarted the pc, re-installed MV.

I don't know if that's more steps than necessary to get it to work again, but hey, everything works fine for me now and that's good enough for me. :')
  7. Yeah managed to get it working, I dunno why I have to repeat the same process to finally kick things into gear.

Thanks for the help guys- this program indeed still needs alot of fixing..
