I'm in the Event Commands>Page 3> Battle> Enemy Transform and Force Action.
What I want to accomplish is have a troop of caterpillars each with a chance to transform into a butterfly by using a skill "Metamorphosis" to transform into a butterfly when it's HP dips below 60%. The catch is I don't want it to be instant or to always occur. I want it to be random maybe all 3 caterpillars transform in the battle, maybe they don't or maybe only one does. Either way once the conditions are met I want it to take like 1 turn for the caterpillar to transform. But during that turn I want the caterpillar to be /resistant immune to a physical attacks they can still be hit by a magic attack. One of two things should happen next. Either the player is successful and kills it magically or physically, or the player is unsuccessful the turn passes and the caterpillar emerges as a butterfly fully healed until the player or monster is defeated.
I thought force action might be appropriate, I can pick the enemy and then force it to use the skill metamorphosis but what is throwing me is target: Index 1 - 8. I don't know what the index is? It says last target, random or index 1 -8. I don't see a self, the user, enemy number ETC. I'm not sure if I should pick this one.
So then I look at the enemy transform (which I've used before in earlier projects) but it doesn't seem like it would help me meet the criteria of "sometimes" as I mentioned above.
Explanation of usage of "Force Action"

I've moved this thread to MV Support. Thank you.

Why does this not count as a tutorial? I appreciate you moving it, but does this not fall "under teach me how to do something" AKA Tutorial?[move]MV Support[/move]

Tutorials are for submissions of actual, finished tutorials. Meaning the very first post in a tutorial post is the tutorial itself. Asking "how to" or for a tutorial is a support request

The index depends in the target group.
If the force action skill is targeted on the player, then the index is the Party Position.
If the force action skill is targeted on the troop, then the index is the enemy index of the troop.
But the editor can't check the skill, so a neutral description had to be used. -
AHH! That makes more sense! Now, I know thank you!Tutorials are for submissions of actual, finished tutorials. Meaning the very first post in a tutorial post is the tutorial itself. Asking "how to" or for a tutorial is a support request
