I've seen some scripts that have common events trigger on the adding or removing of states, but they seem to only work in the battles, and I'm looking for a way so that it can also occur on the map.
These two scripts came closest to what I'm looking for, but only seem to work in battles.

I feel like such a noob for asking such a thing, but then again, I'm still learning the basics of this script.

My script calls the common event ANY time, not just in battle. Show me how you've set it up (the notes in the state, and the common event), and explain what you expect to happen and what does happen when the state is added or removed. -
