How can I activate an event x tiles away from the player or from another event? Cause in my project you can steal something from an NPC and when you get caught I want a guard to appear(another event) and I know can just set events manually around the npc and activate them with a switch, but with npc's with random movement is that not possible obviously. Is there a script something or a certain way to do that?

Your assumption is wrong - it should be obvious that this IS possible with correct uses of switches, you don't need a script for this.but with npc's with random movement is that not possible obviously.
Switches are all you need (and sometimes multiple event pages, with one for before and one after the switch), I suggest playing the variables guide or Crysalis to see some examples of how it is done.

I played the variables guide a long time ago and already made a lot of events using switches and variables and such. I just totally forgot about the "set event location command".
